Starter Kit

As AI tools began spreading across Adobe, teams were building conversational UI independently, without a shared foundation. I initiated a structured starter kit to give designers a common language, so consistency could scale without slowing anyone down.

Result

Teams across DX, DC, and CC adopted the components for conversational UI across their products, deployed as both panels and full screen experiences.

Components

I built a core set of UI components purpose-made for conversational AI, covering the patterns that kept appearing across products but had no agreed-upon form yet.

Principles

Components alone are not enough. I paired them with clear principles so teams understood not just what to use, but how and why, keeping decisions consistent even without direct oversight.

Goal

The goal was simple: give teams a strong starting point so they could move fast without diverging. One kit, many products, one coherent experience.

Editing on conversation

Conversation is not static. I explored how users could edit, refine, and redirect within the flow itself, without stepping outside the experience to make changes.
